Look before you wire.
Someone is asking you, or someone you love, to invest in a private deal, a real estate program or a crypto platform. Before the money moves, a senior fraud investigator checks the people, the companies and the claims, and shows you every red flag with its evidence.
Red flags and evidence only. We never tell you whether to invest, and no investigation can guarantee an investment is safe.
The warning signs are usually there. Nobody checks them in time.
Investment fraud is the largest category of losses reported to the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center, with billions lost every year. Many schemes show the same patterns long before they collapse: guaranteed returns, payments funded by new investors, sellers who aren't registered, assets that don't exist, money routed offshore.
Retirement savings are a frequent target. Regulators warn that self-directed IRA custodians generally do not evaluate the investments they hold, and once money is wired, it is very hard to get back.
Warywire is the independent check before the money moves.

The records a fraud investigator checks
Each case is reviewed against a structured catalog of more than 70 fraud and Ponzi red flags, built on public guidance from the SEC, FINRA, CFTC, NASAA, FinCEN and the FBI, and on years of real-world investigation.
Every finding shows its source and date. Allegations are labeled as allegations. What we couldn't verify is listed too.

Questions
Will you tell me whether to invest?
No. We show red flags, evidence, what checked out and what we couldn't verify. The decision is yours. A report with few red flags does not mean an investment is safe.
Can you guarantee the investment isn't a fraud?
No one can. Our report covers a defined scope, using information available on a specific date. We list every check we ran and every check we couldn't.
What if I don't have documents?
We need at least the name of the company or promoter, plus a website, a pitch or a description of what was offered. More material means a better report. The intake form tells you what's missing.
Can I order a report for a family member's investment?
Yes. Many of our cases come from relatives. The report covers the offer, the companies and the promoters, not your family member.
Do you investigate crypto platforms?
Yes. Crypto yield programs, trading platforms and tokens are a large share of investment fraud. With the crypto add-on, we review the wallets and contracts on-chain.
What happens to my documents?
They are used only for your case and deleted 90 days after delivery, or earlier if you ask. Never send account numbers, Social Security numbers or passwords. See our privacy notice.
I already invested and lost money. Can you help?
We don't recover funds. If you've been defrauded, report it to the FBI at ic3.gov, to the SEC at sec.gov/tcr and to your state securities regulator. Be very careful with anyone offering to recover your money for a fee.
